2nd Ultrasound

Boy or Girl????? Can you tell yet?

Legs/ankles crossed and hands are up to mouth. Love it!

Ha ha ha this one makes me laugh. Its lifting its legs above its head.

We got to see our baby again! I had a check up to see if my cyst went away and results showed that the cyst didnt change in size. Looks like I will have to have surgery to have it removed this next month. We have to go to a specialist to get a better quality ultrasound and get the specialist's opinion as well. With in a week we should know for sure whats going to happen (pretty sure its getting removed).

GOOD NEWS!!!! Our baby is growing great! Cant wait to know if its a boy or girl (for sure). Stan was able to come to the ultrasound and he enjoyed it and I was glad he was there with me so we could see our baby together. Our baby wasent so wiggly but the baby liked to move its feet over its head, cross its feet/legs, and hold its hands together and keep putting them up to its mouth. SO CUTE!

Ultrasound- 10 weeks 6 days

With our insurance changing this year, I asked the doctor if I could get an early ultrasound and use the benefits of our insurance. He agree and we scheduled the appointment. We only had one day to pick from so Stan wasent able to go because he had to work. My friend, Kali, and my mom gladly accepted to come and take video so Stan could see. Well the ultrasound went great! I struggled to drink 32 oz of water in 45 mins. I barely made it. Whew.....
I got to see my little one move. It was kickin and wavin its hands and feet. I think the baby has big feet already.....
The doctor came in and told us that I dont have twins like he was thinking because I was showing bigger than I should at 10 weeks but I have a cyst. He said it was normal but normally its not as big as the one I have. We scheduled another ultrasound to monitor the cyst. He said it should go down but if not I would have to have surgery in the 2nd trimester to have the cyst removed. By the way the cyst is as big as the baby. Thats why he was suspecting twins. THERE IS ONLY ONE! ha ha
I am grateful for family and friends that have been praying and fasting for us. I know that Heavenly Father is taking care of everything.

Starting the New Year Off....by starting a blog.

I was debating weither I should start a blog or not but I think it is time. The main reason why I didnt want to have a blog was because I am a horrible writer and speller. So if you want to know whats going on with us you will just have to read past my bad grammer:)

We wanted to share whats going on with our family but without everyone knowing our business. Too many crazy people out there. So the blogging world seems to be the right pick.

I have taught in primary that families are all different sizes and circumstances. When Stan and I were married we became a family but it was weird thinking of us like that since we didnt have any children. It seems easier now to call us a family when writting because we are adding to our family - A BABY! Curious to see how Allie reacts to a little one, we are pretty confident that she will welcome the baby with little problems (fingers crossed).

For all or most questions to be answered we found out I was pregnant November 18th (6 weeks) and kept it a secret as much as possible.....We had our 1st doctors appointment December 20th and was able to hear the baby's heart beat. At first the nurse had a hard time getting the heart beat but once she did I was so happy and excited. I was so happy I started to laugh and then we lost the heart beat and Stan didnt hear. The doctor came in and tried again so Stan could hear our baby. He found the heart beat right away and we were glad that Stan was able to hear our baby's heart beat.

Christmas time was coming up in a few days and we had to think of ways to tell our family. My side of the family decided to have a gingerbread decorating contest and I thought it would be the perfect way to tell my family and win the contest. Who would not vote on my house that had baby decorations-baby bottles- on it? Well my mom decided to move the deadline for the house to be completed before Christmas and I didnt want to tell the early so I had to think of another way. It took awhile to come up with some but we thought of the ways we would tell.

Stan's family: We went over Christmas eve for dinner and presents. We were hoping Stan would give the blessing on the food, which he was asked. He said he was greatful for alot of food since Kayla was eating alot more these days. Then asked to bless the food for those inside and out of the womb. When he said those words we could hear random gasps from his family. It was really funny!

Kayla's family: My family goes to my grandma's house every Christmas Eve to get together to eat, visit with each other and play white elephant. I brought a gift for my mom that would give the surprise away. We decided to wait til after the game to give her the present. All my family (Aunts, Uncles, Cousins, and great family friends) were in a big circle for the game and once the game was over Stan said "wait there is one more gift" and we passed the present to my mom. I tried getting her to sit in the middle so when it came time everyone could see her. Well when she opened her gift she kept looking at it like "alright???" We gave her a frame that said "Grandkids" on it and we didnt take the picture of the random children out. I guess thats why she looked confused. She was trying to figure out who the kids were. Once she realized what was on the frame, she got it. She was so happy! I guess I should say we were all happy! The next part was telling my dad.....

To tell my dad: I was nervous so my sister called him and he was on the speaker phone. I told him I had a present for him and didnt know what to put on the tag? Grandpa or Grandpy? It took me, my sister, and my mom to get him to understand. Once he did he was in shock and mentioned a few words but it was so funny! When the shock calmed down he ended up crying (seemed like the theme of my family). He was so happy and excited!

Well I guess that is enough to write about for now. I will have to write more later about the ultrasounds. Hopefully I didnt bore you.....
